Full moon today (99%) and meteor shower in Germany

Full moon rise: 21:45,
Culmination (peak): 1:34 tomorrow morning,
as always in summer, not very high, rather near the horizon.
Set: 7:30 tomorrow morning.

Meteor shower:
the "Perseids"
Highlight: 2:38
can be seen higher than the moon, from NE direction.
Maximum 100 (!) meteors per hour.
Visibility is of course somewhat limited by the glare of the moon.
But it still works (yesterday).
The times are average values for the centre of Germany.

@ingolftopf The Perseids are really nice if you can get out of the glare of big city light pollution... too bad about that darned moon getting in the way.

Pfff full moon, that's once a month... seen it already... stupid moon

There was a really nice red "blood moon" a couple of days ago though.

Or maybe it was a killing moon 🩸
