Will you be buying an Apple Watch?
-
So what do you think of the watch Apple announced yesterday. Gonna buy it? I probably will not.
-
Of course. And so will you! :silly:
-
I don't want one, but at the same time I know I'm probably going to buy one.
My distraction level will be off the charts, I won't be abel to get anything done. -
Oki that does it, Apple Watches will be banned in the office from January next year :-p
-
-
Definitely, no.
I don't see in this device anything that really necessary for me or that can make my life better
-
My watch needs to show the exact time +/-a few seconds and do that reliable over the years and not stop when it is not updated any more or the battery has run dry.
btw: I have seen several watch faces that looked to me like exact copies of existing and registered/trademarked designs in this cnet article. I wonder if they have paid this time for the watch faces because they "forgot" to do so for the Swiss railway station clock in iOS6 - of course someone noticed it and the SBB was happy to receive some extra millions.
-
Of course no!
I already have one watch. It is quartz and keeps charge for about 5-6 years. -
Probably, not. The main reason is that I wear watch very rarely… which makes me not their target audience right off the bat.
But I still like watches and new gadgets. In fact, I used to wear them all the time and I own quite a few.My favourite one long time ago was legendary Casio Data bank. I still think their design is superb.
Trouble I have with smart watch is the fact that I have to charge it like any other gadgets.
I have so many gadgets that I had to charge every day, chances are pretty high that I forget about it.
I can see the benefit of not needing to look at my phone all the time which is socially not very nice though.Overall, I like the fact that there are more competition in this space and companies are making investment.
Some day, I may start wearing a watch again when I find compelling product :cheer: -
I do not have anything Apple so it wouldn't make any sense getting the watch since I assume you will have to have all the other Apple stuff to be able to use it. Well, maybe you could get it to show time without iTunes?
-
No, don't even wear my wind up.
-
Do you already have Google Glasses?
-
Will you be buying an Apple Watch?
No. Never.

The article I read said it required an iPhone 5 or 6 to link with, so it is no use to me. Some bluetooth device that could link to my Android tablet, perhaps, but not something that requires an iPhone. I've seen clocks designed to sync to WWV (the official time signal broadcast over the radio) and of course all cell phones sync to their carrier when on or to GPS, keeping time is easy these days.
