What browser do you use and why?
-
Opera 12.14 (since 12.16 does not allow setting default search engine to startpage.com), Firefox for any problem sites. Not even looked at O18+ and doubt I will.
-
I'm using Opera 18 on my work computer cause Opera 12.xx was completely crashing it (it's a Mac Pro). The weird thing is that on my MacBook Air, Opera 12.xx works fine, so I use it on it.
I'm trying to stay with Opera cause I'm a loyal fan, and Opera 18 is fast; I like the Speed Dial and Stash for pages I want to read later. I prefer to check my email on the website instead of having a mail client (though I'm willing to try a few of them to see how it goes); I don't miss bookmarks because most of my reading is on Feedly and I save the articles I like there; I can install Chrome extensions on it; I do miss Opera Link though.
In any case, Opera 18 is working for me now

I'm using Opera 12.16 on Windows XP, the latest portable version (Opera@USB). This works best on my old laptop, and when versions change I don't have to install anything anew, I just replace the folder and keep the profile. However, on certain sites (WordPress being the most annoying), the fonts change dramatically on Opera (the webfonts issue), so I use Firefox or SeaMonkey. I think I stay with Opera mostly due to speed and the decent memory usage.
On my smartphone I also use Opera for Android. Hard to tell why. I guess I'm an Opera fan… I'm using it as my main desktop browser since version 6. -
Where to start?..
Windows 7:
Opera 8.54 just for mail at home. Just because!
Opera 9.24 for mail and RSS at work. Latest not crippled interface of M2.
Opera 12.15 for general browsing, Unite apps (mostly sharing).
Firefox Aurora or IE for hard cases of incompatibility.Android tablet:
Opera Mobile Classic - primary
Firefox, Opera Blink, Maxthon - secondaryiPad:
Opera Mini - primary
Safari - secondaryNokia 808 - Symbian Belle:
Opera Mobile - primary
Default browser - secondaryLong story to tell why I use Opera Presto in general. But in quick:

- you ride the Web not otherwise.

Opera 12.16
And it's not going to get updated to the AU version!
I used to have the Chromified Next & Dev builds as my main browsers but they just aren't progressing fast enough to make them comfortable. Too many killer features are still missing while the devs work on extending themes and playing with media features.
-
First of all Opera 12.15 & 11.64
On webkit I like CoolNovo or SRWare Iron. -
I was an avid user of Opera up until the 're-launch'. Currently using a customized version of Pale Moon, mainly to avoid the Australis update that's about to hit Firefox! I have just about all my favourite features from O12 (via extensions) so life is fine.
-
Opera 18 and Chrome. I never thought I would become a Chrome user but increasingly I find myself using it since it works so beautifully with everything else. I don't want to give up on Opera, however, so I continue to use it about half the time.
-
Opera Classic for Android (Last Version) because it was the best mobile browser available. But then they killed it. :rip:
/edit/ I'll most likely migrate to Chrome since Opera has messed up their Android Mobile browser so badly.
-
Opera 11.64, didn't like version 12 and while there were frequent updates to 12.16, there are now several Opera next versions, but no updates since 12.16. I like the features of Opera 11, mail, widgets, link, unite, turbo when they were active. I call 11 the last working version.
-
Opera 12.16 on Lubuntu. Opera Mini on Android.
I have been using the Opera browser since 1997. I can't get used to Chromium. I like Firefox, but starting up this browser requires more time.
-
I prefer a versatile tool I can customize according to my browsing habits, over a dumbed down content viewer.
Opera Presto wasn't perfect but came closest to my expectations and still is.
Since I'm aware that Opera Presto's days are numbered I'll have to take a closer look at Firefox. -
I was big into Opera (from version 3, and 5 as a default browser) until they change in direction. Now I use SeaMonkey because I like to have everything in one application like Opera used to be. Plus SeaMonkey is still been updated unlike Opera 12.
-
I am still using Opera 11.64, because that's the latest version to work properly on the sites than I use.
- WAV Files still play Test Page
- The skin.ini format still respects Minimum Tab Width, so more tabs fit on the tab bar
- PageDown/PageUp still scrolls the text by a full screen so that I don't lose my place when reading long articles
-
I'm currently leaning mainly on Firefox (26) with a few extensions, with occasional revisits to my Opera 12.14. Opera had unsurpassed configurability and capabilities for how I browse, but that's no longer the case since the Blink engine arrived. I'm still looking at browsers, however, since nothing 'new' quite satisfies my needs. It seems to me that there's a solid market out there for highly configurable, standards-compliant, secure browsers - but perhaps not large enough for a "free" browser to be economically feasible any more.
-
Opera for many, many years. I loved that browser. But since it went to the wayside, I switched to Firefox.
-
Presto of course. What else? (I guess I don´t have to explain why?)
At the moment I still see no reason to change? As long as the web cooperates I will stick with it.
Maybe Facebook & Co. with their endless-sides are working better with other candidates - but I don´t need or use them. So that is not important for me.
Blink (all versions) I use just to stay up to date and can give support to other users. Not really for daily work, because no one can beat my beloved Opera-Presto-All-rounder. -
Opera 12.15. I will have to change at some point as the web becomes unusable, but for now it still works and I can't find a browser I prefer.
The change to Opium left me utterly dismayed. It is any company's right to choose what products to sell, but it is clear that the demographic Opera now wish to serve doesn't include me.
So, still using Presto

W sprawie przeglądarek jestem zupełnym laikiem ,co mi ustawili to używam .
