here's an article on "keeping windows xp relevant and secure". it focus' on security, which is likely the major concern with continued xp usage. any amendments on possible programs to fulfill this task? or ways of accomplishing it? please share ... http://nosebotpress.blogspot.ca/2015/03/keeping-windows-xp-relevant-and-secure.html

I've had good luck with Comodo and XP, but I seriously hardly ever turn the XP machine on any more, because I've gotten used to such speed in computing that the XP machine seems glacially SLOOOOOOOW.

So XP is "vintage" now, huh? My XP machine has 1GB Ram, including video RAM, and hence works best with Presto.

comodo is a pretty large and heavy program (and effective one). that is likely why your system is so slow(?). my xp laptop is faster than my win 7 with an i7 processor.

how about `classic'? everyone knows classic is always better (ex. cars, coke). palemoon browser has a version made specifically for xp. and qtweb is pretty light. but i doooo love classic opera:)

XP is actually supported until 2019, just install the poserady registry reg values then do a windows update refresh.

I made a page aimed at XP diehards.

I will keep it updated with anything relevant.. -
given enough time, with all the specific exploits and malware being made for more modern systems, i wonder if it is conceivable that many of these new nasties will not be able to infect an xp computer???
the system is now old enough that a young hacker that gains control of it, might not even know how to navigates within that environment …
given more time, as all the old xp malware fades into obscurity, and the new malware can't infect an xp, that the xp might eventually be more secure. almost a linux like scenario, strength via obscurity and small user base.

Move over to Peppermint OS 7 a linux based distro

I moved to windows 10 after the recent wannacry cyber attack. I wished i had done that quite before. Lost all my important data due to this. Had to start working all over again.
