-
26th updated
-
@ruarí: This build is good to me, no crash after input Chinese
-
With the last 2 Updates of the Snapshots my user profile went corrupt.
I made a new profile and half a day it got corrupt again and Vivaldi stopped starting. I disabled almost all extensions, but it went corrupt again.Got back to Stable and the corrupt profile ist working perfect.

@Icehawk_de
Hi, did you install the snapshot over the stable or other way around at some point?
You should keep them separate or you can get a broken profile.
You maybe don't notice any issues but after some time you get problems.
I install Vivaldi stable as "for user" install and others as "standalone" install.
StandaloneCheers, mib

can anyone can confirm this new bug since two snapshots?
if you open a second window which contains open webpanels, close the second window and the tab-trashbin shows the window containing the tabs plus the webpanels as tabs.
as you reopen this window and close it again, for every reopening the webpanels are added againWin10 22H2
(closed the second window 3 times with the vivaldi webpanel open) -
@derDay
Hi, I can reproduce this, the panels have to be active.
Vivaldi 6.7.3329.14, on Opensuse Linux.
Please report this, I can confirm in the tracker.Cheers, mib

I had always the snapshot as standalone version. I had never used or installed the stable version.
Now its my first time with the stable and it works perfect with the corrupt "snapshot" profile.

@derDay
Than you for the report.
If you disable Lazy Load in the panel settings the "panel tabs" disappear/appear.
Report confirmed.Cheers, mib

Strange, we had one or two user report Vivaldi doesn't start after some time but the user and others cant find a solution.
This happen only on 2 of 4 system the user have, this is strange too. -

Made a new profile, synced with my vivaldi server profile, everything set up again. It works for a hour or two, Vivaldi closes again and does not open. Made a new profile and the fun begins after a few hours. -
@Icehawk_de A installed Security Tool on Windows causing this instability?

It's only Windows Defender.
I had this problem with the last 3 versions. -
@Icehawk_de You might want to test running Vivaldi from the command line, and look at the log output.
Of particular interest is if it contains a line with this text:
UI Process abnormally terminates with status [...]
We would be interested in what is after the word "status".

OK I have set up a new Snapshot. I will test it.
What is the command-line command on windows and where I will find the log? -

Start cmd.exe
Type commandstart vivaldi --enable-logging --v=1
Hit Return key
Vivaldi starting
After it crashed you find the file chrome_debug.log in folder C:\Users.....\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\ . -
Thanks. I just got a crash, but I could open Vivialdi. I will tell you next time.

@ThirdGenerationAI Interesting. Is this all feeds or a specific feed. Do you see a dialog or not? Are you willing/able to share one of the undeleteable feeds?
