Google services freeze

  • Hey guys, I am using Vivaldi for couple of months now, really trying not to go back to Firefox and going to give up because of the following bug: I use a lot of Google services – Inbox, Drive, Calendar, Keep, all those on 3 accounts. Once in a while (probably twice a day) all of them freeze in kinda "read-only" mode – the links aren't clickable, the text is not selectable, nothing happens. The only thing that helps is a browser restart. Am I the only one having this? The tech details are below. Vivaldi 1.2.490.43 () (64-bit) Revision aa7c8d23c098e96a388ffedf6698230bda650bb3 OS Mac OS X Blink 537.36 (@aa7c8d23c098e96a388ffedf6698230bda650bb3) JavaScript V8 5.1.281.65 Flash 22.0.0.192 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.2.490.43 Command Line /Applications/Vivaldi.app/Contents/MacOS/Vivaldi --always-authorize-plugins --disable-translate --ppapi-flash-path=/Applications/Google Chrome.app/Contents/Versions/51.0.2704.103/Google Chrome Framework.framework/Internet Plug-Ins/PepperFlash/PepperFlashPlayer.plugin --flag-switches-begin --flag-switches-end --disable-smooth-scrolling Executable Path /Applications/Vivaldi.app/Contents/MacOS/Vivaldi Profile Path /Users/jbaruch/Library/Application Support/Vivaldi/Default Variations 16e0dd70-3f4a17df f19a86b5-55d854e7 b3888d8d-afba0f91 85c66937-3f4a17df 775ebbd7-3d47f4f4 dd4da2fc-3f4a17df 64cbdfc2-3f4a17df 4ea303a6-3f4a17df d5b671a5-3f4a17df 4117e878-23622c9b 30e679f-3f4a17df ad6d27cc-3e870323 867c4c68-3f4a17df d747916f-d747916f 874cf5b5-c6f0e220

  • If you're having this problem only with Vivaldi then it may just be an issue with that specific version. Also, if you are using an older version of OS X, then the problem may be the system may not be able to handle a certain webpage or you have a large amount of tabs open and Vivaldi freezes.

Tips for the future: You may want to update Vivaldi to the latest snapshot OR re-download Vivaldi. If both of those methods don't work, then I would advise trying to cut back on the memory usage on your Mac. B)

    Hope this works for you!
