ScriptSafe Add-on makes Vivaldi unstartable
-
Long story short, I decided that I needed some no-script. ScriptSafe seemed like a good option. Today I wanted to run Vivaldi again and.... does not work! Through the windows compatibility checker, I got V so far that it posted error-messages in the bottom right corner. (It is German but it bascially says "[Extension name] has crashed. Click here to reload.") How do I know it is that extension? Well, it worked yesterday, withouth the last added extension! Vivaldi will start with Admin permissions as that seems to create a "fresh" version without anything bolted onto it. A number of script blockers have this same result. For all I know, all of them do. My unprofessional opinion has been that it's because Vivaldi is MADE of scripts, in part.

Could be. It's possible to whitelist the part of Vivaldi UI while using "advanced" script blockers?
Like they do for Chrome, Firefox and Opera, anyway. -
Hmmmm…That's hard to say when the entire UI is basically a collection of scripts...
