      • UBLOCK FILTERS – ANNOYANCES

      It comes from this link:

      https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssetsCDN/blob/main/ublock/assets.json

The team is in line to improve the built-in adblocker and the first step is to allow the inclusion of lists that are currently not supported.

Therefore, it would be convenient to mention which of the previous lists can be included in new versions of Vivaldi, because they are the "De facto standard".

I am going to ditch Vivaldi and go with Brave as Brave said they will be constantly bringing MV3 back after 2025.

uBlock Origin is able to achieve AD-less YouTube while Vivaldi's built-in AdBlock can't, this alone should already prove that uBlock Origin is superior than Vivaldi's built-in AdBlock.

@barbudo2005 You don't need to tell me you are not interested. If you are not interested, why bother replying to me and creating spam notifications in my mailbox?
I am posting here, only to provide someone else who also wants to use a browser that supports a "proper" AdBlock extension (rather than Vivaldi's incomplete and incompetent one).

Do not subscribe to Vivaldi forum if you are not interested in Vivaldi browser (which adblock extension can helps), and if you do not want to get notifications from such forum!

Hello, what is planning for the native vivaldi ad block, any optimization ?
      Any new feature ?
Any way to select blocks/elements with cursors in the futures ?

@barabbas No one knows. We only know that the developers will continue to improve and optimize it in ways that they find practical.

@Ayespy Thanks for the honest answer.
I wish best for vivaldi team, the web browser with the best builtin ad blocker will win the prize IMO.

@barabbas, the blocker for sure will be improved. To select and delete elements in the page, at the moment I use this script as workarround (downloaded and installed as extension)

      @asianmusicguy

From what I understand uBO handles the constant changes in YT scripts in this filter:

Of course not. That is the task ahead for the team.

@barbudo2005 so do amu of the filter lists you provided not work currently have you tested for compatibility ?
also the smartest thing to do is just have Vivaldi work with Raymond Hill on A VERSION OF THESE RULE SETS THATS COMPTABLE WITH VIVALDI (sorry for caps )

@barbudo2005 as do I What am saying is that wont be possible next year so I am saying we need to work with Ray to adapt as much UBO lists and features as possible into Vivaldi its the smartest approach and the only way to beat manifest V3

@asianmusicguy We can not fight against Manifestv3. Less force to influence Google and Chromium developers.

A recommendation to you can be: use a different extension like uBlockOriginLite or wait until Vivaldi Blocker is enforced to get more features and power.
