@stardepp

No none Google Android Automative Os. Mercedes has its own operating system called MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). See also here:
-
@stardepp
I'm afraid it's not a complete in-house development by Mercedes, but it will use the Google Android Automotive OS kernel.Not like custom roms based on the "Android Open Source Project" (AOSP).
That's why it's probably quite right under this heading.
-
@ingolftopf Yes it is, it's Mercedes' own development!!! Mercedes uses Google Maps and YouTube, but MBUX is not based on Google Android.

-
Mercedes MBUX is based on Linux so without Android!
-
Well, Android is also basically a Linux fork, only Google has put in all kinds of its own APIs to keep it under control (Mercedes has probably done the same)
-
@stardepp
If Mercedes and Google have entered into a partnership, it is very likely that Mercedes has adopted the Google Android Kernel. -
@ingolftopf Mercedes has not adopted the Google Android kernel for MBUX, when will you get it?
-
@ingolftopf It seems there is a partnership with google and nvidia so is likely an Android automotive fork
-
If Vivaldi Android Automotive works in MBUX proofs, that it is an Android fork or at least using the same kernel. If it were a different indie OS, Vivaldi wouldn't work.

Vivaldi works in all alternative operating systems based on 'Android Open Source Project', AOSP, such as 'GrapheneOS'.
Vivaldi does not work on 'Ubuntu Touch' or 'UBports'.
-
@ingolftopf, that is what I mean, the proof that MBUX is an Android fork.
-
@Catweazle
A Google-Android fork, I'm afraid.Not an AOSP-Android fork.
-
These things are also sometimes a bit confusing.
