Add to Speed Dial / Bookmarks
-
Is there an option somewhere in Vivaldi that would enable me to right click on a page, and then, from the context menu, add the page I'm on to Speed Dial and/or Bookmarks? I know it can be done by the bookmark icon in the address bar but I guess a right click on a page will be a bit more efficient. If the option doesn't exist yet, I'd like to suggest it as a feature request.

Use shortcuts: Ctrl D is the default.
Cluttering context menus with stuff that most users will never use makes it slower to find essential features.Ā¹ The only solution to this dilemma is to allow customising of menus (as is possible in Opera 12.17). Hopefully, that will be possible later. Here is my context menu in Opera 12.17:

Ā¹ One user's "essential feature" is another user's interface "clutter."

Agreed! Never thought of customizable (context) menus, which will be a much better solution indeed!

Ooooooh! Still using another browser next to Vivaldi?!?!

Opera 12.17 will be my default for a long while yet. I mostly use Vivaldi for sites that don't work well in Opera 12.17. I never use Opera 37, except to test a page. It's just part of developing web sites to check sites in a variety of browsers. Before I can jump ship completely, I will need:
[ol]
- Email client
- Customisable menus
- Customisable shortcuts with "Execute program" commands
- Mnemonic Shortcuts such as "f,t,p" to launch my FTP program
- Customisable Toolbars with my own buttons and favourite commands
- Skins to add custom toolbar buttons can probably wait. Function is more important than form.

I'm curious about your thoughts about:
1. E-mail client
Would you like it to be part of Vivaldi or as a separate program?2. Customisable menus
Yes! Including context menus.3. Customisable shortcuts with "Execute program" commands
4. Mnemonic Shortcuts such as "f,t,p" to launch my FTP program
These sound nice but I'm not sure if these options should be part of a browser, instead of OS-wide. Do you know AutoHotkey?

Customisable shortcuts that stay within the browser are great without doubt, of course. We already have quite a few of 'em!5. Customisable Toolbars with my own buttons and favourite commands
Yes! So that you choose everything that's in the browser already + a "custom" option.6. Skins to add custom toolbar buttons can probably wait. Function is more important than form.
Agreed - unless it becomes functional (f.i., I think colored tabs, reflecting the page you're on, aren't only nice to see but can also be quite handy). -
Email will be built-in, as it is in Opera 12.17. That way, when a mail has come in, I can see a number on my received mail tab, which is always pinned.
