Geolocation for MacOS and Customizable Address Field Suggestions – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3070.3
-
@brunnopleffken: There’s a work-around listed in the known issues section for this release.
-
@pesala: Thanks!
-
@daniel We had UI font changes since 6.1.
User says the panels are different now in size when 100% UI zoom,
Can you please help at https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/88658/rendering-pages -
@radekpilich: Thank you, all the details are appreciated. VB-98749

DUPLICATE TAB for the tab in a tab stack doesn't work properly for me.
The duplicate appears in the in the tab stack for a fraction of second and then disappears.Confirmed (locked and unlocked second tab level) in 6.2.2070.3...and, yeah, it goes to the home workspace (AKA The Window ). Strange bug!
And the stack is shown in both...on hover, while only being "real" in workspace proper:

Private windows no longer open maximized

@sjudenim Fixed internally today, wait until some next snapshot.

When I enter a video on Youtube or Twitch in full screen, and exit the full screen the site panel resets its width.
I'm on an ultra wide monitor, but it's only happening since this snapshot. -
@Phobos - i reported this in an earlier post - all be it it was triggered by switching screen - maximised to normal - hopefully its a bug and will get sorted
-
@Phobos A known issue and was reported in bug tracker as i remember.
-
I went to Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Save Browsing History and set it to "Session Only" expecting that Vivaldi will remember my browsing history for the current session and delete it after I close the browser, but no - Vivaldi just stopped recording my browsing history at all. If it is intended behavior and not a bug, than maybe saying something like "Don't remember browsing history" instead of "Session Only" would be less confusing.
-
@ian-coog: Thanks for posting this... I thought it was just me!
-
@VClassic In my case, the browsing history is still recorded for the current session. I have it set to Session Only.
-
@Pesala Set it to "One Day" and got history and typed history, set it again to "Session Only" - no history or typed history - nothing at all.

@chas4: No. It’s a proper noun and as should should be written with a capital letter in English. All writing style guides except the one from Apple’s marketing department capitalizes proper nouns.
Not according to Apple as MacOS is the pre Mac OS X versions like OS 9 etc. Apple talked about it during WWDC years ago about switching to macOS (yes lower case m), also the recent macOS version you can see the lower case m in About this Mac. Apple has it spelled with a lower case m for about 8 or so years.

On the SECOND opening of this version, many (though not all) tabs lost their order within stacks. The order seemed to be reversed. And some of the stacks themselves were out of order with each other.

Drag and Drop to change the order of items in the Address Field fails if an item is dropped in the First or Second position.
I noticed that too. I was using the arrows and it reproduced when using drag and drop as you showed.

Anyone having problems with flexible spaces on the navigation bar. I have to correct it several times a week. IN my case it appears to be a daily event. Sometimes they disappear, other times they duplicate (always the ones before the address bar).
It is like there's is some type of synchronization between normal and private windows and also between other vivaldi instances that goes awry! The only instance where I don't have to constantly edit the navigation bar to correct is one that does not have flexible spaces. It happens both in a windows and a linux snapshot instance

new bug,: Search Field dropdown for search suggestions remains on screen even pressing esc, only possible to click the search engine icon twice to make the suggestions dropdown disappear, can anyone confirm?
@iAN-CooG Yes I can confirm

I'm seeing something similar too.
Some panels open at much reduced width from how they were left.
Resizing works only sometimes, other times it just snaps back to narrow width.
I am using floating panels.
