Back & Forward buttons don't use cache ?
-
Hi, One thing i notice when coming from Firefox to Vivaldi, is, it seems like no cache is used when using the back & forward buttons when browsing around, resulting in all items being re-requested and thus slower page loading & rendering ? I'm I missing something, or is this how it should be please ?

That's how the chromium engine works. In short FF engine is slightly better to this task, while Opera 12 engine is really the king.
But on the other hand that brilliant Opera caching mechanism was also one of the main source of compatibility problems, and was way more important 10 years ago when the connections were way slower and the data bundles were way more limited than today average.
Vivaldi may improve the mainstream caching mechanism in the future, but dont hold your breath for that, given there are still an huge number of things on the todo list, the resources are limited, and patching deeply the engine is out of question, at least for now and the close future.
