[Bug\VB-17866] Extension 'WebRTC Network Limiter': Local IP leak when opening links in background

  • Hi, I found problem with extension WebRTC Network Limiter. But I guess it looks like problem of Vivaldi when new tab in background is initialized because Chromium has no this issue. But sure there can be som incompatibility problem, or something else. Also this issue only happens while opening links in background. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install extension WebRTC Network Limiter 2. In extension options choose 'Use my proxy server (if present)' 3. If this setting is set, no IP address should be revealed. 4. Now you can open new tabs and enter there these test addresses: https://ipleak.net/ https://www.browserleaks.com/webrtc Or even open them from bookmarks. As you can see there's no WebRTC address leak. 5. Now open site http://chromium.woolyss.com/#tools. Or I used even my simple created page with these links:
IP Leak
    Browser Leaks
Or use links from step 4. here. 6. Now open links in background tab. From http://chromium.woolyss.com/#tools use links: IP Leak Browser Leaks -> Bottom of page, there's link 'WebRTC Leak Test' 7. You can check that local IP address is leaked! Please take a look at it. Thank you in advance. Configuration:

Vivaldi - Developer 1.2.485.14 (Developer Build) (64-bit) Problem

Vivaldi - Stable 1.1.453.59 (Stable channel) (64-bit) Problem

Chromium 53.0.2746.0 (64-bit) OK

OS Windows 7 Pro x64

• I would add the following to the problems described. When I select the link to ipleak.net (or every other test site) with left mouse button the test will pass. With right mouse button (to background or not) the test will fail. This is odd but it is only the local ip and not the "real" ip from the provider while i connected throw a vpn.

    P.S. Sorry for my english.
