I don't know what a PDF printer
A virtual printer in Windows which creates PDF files.
An my HP Officejet works nice, too, on Windows and Debian.

Thanks for the tries. Gotcha.
Weird. On my end it's reproducible.
I'll restart my PC later and see if this Windows trick fixes everything, again. -
Yes, it worked after a reboot. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I never take a photo of a printer.

Suddenly my extension icons are not showing live badges. For instance, Stylus and Bitwarden do not show the number of matching style sheets / logins for the current site being viewed. Instead a black circle shows.
-
Use this code:
button[title="Stylus"] .button-badge { background-color: #676767 !important; color: #cdcdcd !important;}

@barbudo2005 Where? Why is it necessary? Are others having this problem? If so, when is a fix planned?
-
Where?: In custom.css
Why is it necessary? Meanwhile it is fixed.
I use it to soften the style:

@barbudo2005 Ok, thanks much. I will wait for the fix at this point.

Anyone seeing crashes with two windows and workspaces. In my case it is happening by just doing the following:
-have one window with a workspace open. In my case it includes mail;
-open another window and choose a different workspace;
-close this new window.Vivaldi is close crashing with just this in my case. I'm in a windows 10 installation.
-
@Durtro
Hi, cant reproduce this but a user report Vivaldi close all windows when closing a second window.
How do you open the new window?
How do you close the window?
Using X or Ctrl+Q, menu?Cheers, mib
EDIT: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/88249/workspace-window-closing-error -
@mib2berlin Opened the window through the menu since I rarely open a second non private window and don't know the shortcut. I closed it using the normal window close button and choosing the ok on the confirmation dialogue.
-
@Durtro
The only difference: I always disable this Windows like "Are you sure" confirmation pop up.
But I fear this doesnt make any difference. -
@mib2berlin nevertheless I saw the video and it was the way that I closed the window but the opening was different since I didn't go directly from the workspace menu, I opened the window going through the vivaldi menu and then selected the workspace in that new window.
BTW, in one case and after opening vivaldi again, I close the second window and the other one only disappeared after a few seconds without any interaction. As such, it does resemble a crash. After that the session was saved with just that one window and everything worked fine after.

@Durtro
AH fine but still strange.
You can check if Vivaldi create a crash log file, it does not always and this make it harder to find bugs.https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/troubleshoot/reporting-crashes-on-windows/

@Ruarí and V Team - thank you for your hard and continued work on this amazing browser, it just gets better and better!
Also, nice to see you and Maria on Mastodon.
Not sure if this is a bug, or if it's on the theme developers, but I noticed with the new V menu button, when applying different color themes (both some Vivaldi ones like 'Private' and some 3rd party themes) that a mouse hover over other Vivaldi buttons (back/forward etc.) look different than a mouse hover over the new V button.
Thank you again and you all have a great weekend!

i've not spent hours searching, only did one quick forum search just now, which drew a blank. we still don't have some way to tiled-tabs scroll-lock, do we?

Seems like there is something broken regarding hardware acceleration with this build (possibly since some of the previous builds, I don't know). I haven't performed any extensive testing, but this video for example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4xKvHANqjk - doesn't seem to trigger the hardware decoding on my RTX 3070 and falls back on the CPU, which causes unnatural load. Things seem fine with Vivaldi Stable.
P.S. I just found that disabling and reenabling hardware acceleration in the settings seems to fix the issue, but I'll keep an eye for it still.
-
IDK what the team did to the browser recently but I am here to praise them because it's actually much faster now. -- a user with lots of tabs
