2FA iphone

After enabling 2FA on my vivaldi mail, I can no longer use it with the Apple Mail client on iPhone. I did generate an app password but that doesn't help. Is anyone else having issues with getting this to work?

I am also experiencing this in the mail app on my iPhone. I just noticed the issue start today and I've had 2FA enabled for a month or so.

Hi,
I've the same problem with all my mail apps (mail, thunderbird...). As there is only one password for vivaldi account, vivaldi mail... and no password per applications. Vivaldi mail is unusable. -
@Akemoi I was actually able to set up an app password at https://www.vivaldi.net and then use Thunderbird successfully. I just can't get Apple Mail on iOS to work even though I've set up an app password for it.

@dlgard and @wbpayne, do you see any error messages? What do they say?
@Akemoi You should create a unique app password for each mail client you want to add your Vivaldi account to. To do that, go to your account's profile on Vivaldi.net > Enable/Manage Two-Factor Authentication. There, make sure you've created either app or security key based authentication + a backup method. When 2FA is set up create app passwords for each client.

@jane-n It's working now but it wasn't before. I had created a separate app password for iOS Mail and everything and it still didn't work a couple of days ago. Obviously it was some weird problem that is no longer occurring.

I'm sorry for the trouble, but I'm glad that things are working again.
