Vivaldi "Helper" Using 52% of CPU?

  • What is Vivaldi helper? Its brining my powerful MacBook to its knees, using over half of my CPU and causing the fans to run, while Vivaldi uses maybe 5-8%

  • "Vivaldi Helper" is a tab process (or web panel process). Every tab has that same process name

    Would it be possible to name the processes distinctly? or have some information within the browser with details about memory/cpu usage per tab?

    @wojtek Sorry, misread your post.

    Vivaldi's Task Manager (Tools / Task Manager on the macOS Menu Bar) shows the tabs that are currently active along with the Process ID (PID) that you can use to correlate the actual resources used by the Helper process (from a macOS perspective) with Activity Monitor. If you right-click on Task Manager's header, you can add additional columns of information about active Vivaldi processes from the browser's perspective.
