Can’t copy/paste bookmarks
-
Windows version 6.0.2979.22
I’m using the Bookmarks tab to create and organise bookmarks, and the copy-paste has stopped working. Ctrl+drag doesn’t duplicate them, Ctrl+c and v doesn’t copy them, and using the context menu doesn’t do anything either. I’ve tried closing the tab and restarting Vivaldi with no effect.
When I do a copy, text for the bookmark appears in the clipboard but it won’t paste anywhere in the bookmarks tree.

@knightlie No such problem for me on the latest Stable build.
I copied the Get Started Bookmark, selected the E-bay bookmark and pasted the copy of the Vivaldi bookmark below it.

@Pesala Okay…

@knightlie Does that work for you now? I tested with both menus and keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V.
Tip: To mark a thread as resolved (to save time for others):
- Edit the first post
- Open the dropdown on the Submit button and click the radio button saying Ask As Question
- Submit the post again
- Select the three dot vertical menu of the post that resolves the question
- Select the checkmark saying Mark This Post As The Correct Answer

@Pesala I can duplicate them randomly (i.e. it occasionally works) by ctrl-dragging and dropping them specifically between two existing ones, but dropping onto a folder name or Ctrl+v with a folder selected does nothing.
Edit: your method of pasting onto an existing bookmark doesn’t work.

@knightlie Select and start dragging before pressing the Ctrl modifier. That works for me, as do the other methods.
My Vivaldi Stable version is installed for All Users on Windows 10.

Wow, so I dragged a bookmark from one folder to another to move it, and the bookmark moved but an unrelated subfolder was duplicated within itself! This is all over the place.
I’ll try this on my home installation later and see if I can record a video, but right now it’s really not working at all.
