Solved Netflix troubles Mac Os
-
I don't use a Mac or Netflix, but found this page at Netflix, pertaining to error M7121-1331.
-
M7121-1331 mentions Extensions as a possible reason for issues. You may want to test in a Guest Profile.
UI3012 seems to be related to issues with your home network.
-
I definitely don't have an error in my home network, when I play Netflix in Safari browser there is no problem. Only in Vivaldi.
-
I get the same errors. Guest profiles show the same errors. The snapshot build show same problems. Different Services are affiliated. Different Browsers work (Safari, Firefox, Chrome). I'm on a Macbook Air M2.
-
Must be a bug in the latest Vivaldi update. Because there was no problem in the previous update.
-
FYI, it seems that a recent change to the Widevine code signing system broke the signature for Mac. (There appears to be no issue with the Windows signature).
We have contacted the Google Widevine team for assistance, but resolving this issue will likely take several days.
At present, the .18 build is the most recent functioning version about this. Note that snapshot 3009 isn't affected either, but the current 3023 snapshot is affected.

Try Using Chrome(original) but the same, no
Just to confirm: Chrome 113 did NOT WORK, either?
Could some of the others please check this as well, and please note CPU (intel vs M1) and MacOs version; I want to see if there is some difference.
If Chrome isn't working, either then there might be some other general problem with Mac
(I notice that some others are saying Chrome does work for them, if it works for some, but not all, that might be an indication if there is something common)

@yngve Chrome Version 113.0.5672.126 works for me on M2 Apple Silicon
-
@yngve
Hi!
Yep....
I tried with Chrome "Version 113.0.5672.126 (Official Build) (arm64)"
Then, the result is the same ..... Error......I feel like it is M1(and 2 either?) probrem.
By the way, It was same for Udemy video: could not see (just forever loading).
But not the youtube video (totally fine!!)Thank you!!
-
Thanks for the info.

Youtube is AFAIK not using the DRM functionality involved in this case, so that should work find. Netflix&Co are requiring DRM, and something makes that fail for Vivaldi after our recent update.
A curious thing here is that you and @senbeinorimaki are both on M1-type systems, yet Chrome does not work for you, but does work for @senbeinorimaki , using the same build.
I wonder what the difference is? OS version perhaps?
-
@yngve
Thank you for AFAIK and DRM info. That is why Udemy also does not work.... hmmm okay cheers.Differences:
- @senbeinorimaki uses M2 and I use M1
- @senbeinorimaki OS version? My OS version Ventura 13.2

Where do I download from the previous official Desktop build?

I have the same problem. Besides, I have problems with other multimedia websites, for example, Spotify and Disney+.
For Spotify, the weird thing is that whenever I choose a song, it will automatically play another song which is 5-6 songs down to the original one. In addition, the song only plays for 9-10 seconds, and then the music will be muted and nowhere to be recovered unless I reload the whole page.
For Disney+, I can log in to the page, but I can't playback any video. It prompts "error 83" every time.
Finally, I have also checked Youtube, and it works fine without any problem.
Does anyone know the reason?
I have the exact same problem on Spotify after Updated to the latest version 6.0.2979.22.
-
Two days ago Spotify web player started skipping tracks without playing and then plays a few seconds of every 6th track if you restart playback then goes silent. I searched the forum for similar issues and found a post from 2020 (https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/51466/spotify-web-player-stopped-working) that addresses the same issue but seemed to have been fixed with previous updates of the browser. Now it happened again.
I opened safari to see if it was perhaps spotify's problem and lo and behold it works fine there.
Cleaned Cookies, DNS flushed, History cleaned, hard restart, etc do not help.
Is anyone else having this issue and has anyone found a fix for it or will we have to wait for a Vivaldi update ?
Thanks in advance.
-
Ok we updated the current stable (6.0.2979.22) with signing that is done slightly differentlly and should work.
This will fix it for anyone who downloads or upgrades from now but we will need to produce a new build with a higher build number to enable autoupdates for those that have a broken build currently.
That will take a bit. If you are reading this and cannot wait, manually re-download 6.0.2979.22 again and overwrite your current stable.
The new (corrected) build has the following checksums:

@Fubero Where can we report the error?
