I've been using Vivaldi Mail for quite some time, but suddenly I can not log into it. As far as I can tell my credentials are good since I can log into vivaldi.net, but I have not had a single login this week not resulting in "Access denied".
While I can get around it using an alternate address from a different provider, I am locked out of my inbox so I have not access to my things.

@Bentus So you are talking about WebMail, yes?

I'm having the same problem. I was reading an email, stepped away for about 15 minutes, and when I came back, I got the blue Vivaldi login screen and I'm being told I can't login ("Access denied"). This happened a few minutes ago.

UPDATE: I'm using Vivaldi Webmail on Vivaldi browser on Linux. Maybe I'll restart and try again... Nope, didn't help. Tried logging in via Firefox, that didn't work either.
This happened after a core Linux update. Could it be an OAuth issue? What do I need to check?

@katok For problems with access, Send a message to Vivaldi

I am moving this topic to Webmail, where it belongs.

@Bentus If you have enabled 2-factor authentication on your account, then you will no longer be able to use your account password to access your mail account via an IMAP mail client (not sure if that is the case for you, but mentioning it since it is the most likely recent change). Instead you will need to generate an app password in your profile for your mail client to use, or use a mail client that supports Vivaldi's OAuth for login.

@thomasp I don't know about app passwords, I never had to use those before. I have tried making one, but I don't understand how to input it in webmail.vivaldi.net.

Ok, if you're talking about webmail.vivaldi.net login, then what I wrote is not relevant to you (that advice only applied if you were using a mail client).

Please contact the support team with details of the mail account you are having trouble accessing. To do this, go to https://help.vivaldi.com/services/webmail/troubleshooting-webmail-issues/ and click the Send us a message button near the bottom of the page.
