hi. afaik all my many rss feeds seem to be working well in vivaldi, with one exception. its videos play fine when i go to the original site in another tab, so it's not like vivaldi broadly can't support this site. it's only in the feeds component of vivaldi, and only for this one channel.

i admit i've not tried to replicate this in a clean profile, given as i said, all other feed channels are working fine for me, so it seems hard to understand how this one problem channel could be from a bad profile.

btw, this is not a new problem just arising now with Vivaldi 6.1.3001.3. this one channel has had this problem for many months... but only in vivaldi, not also in... an unnamed non-chromium browser.

oh goodness -- after several minutes, this feed's video suddenly began playing! tried it again, and yes, after another interminable delay, it stops spooling and begins playing. now i don't know what to conclude.

@ybjrepnfr Unbeknownst to most we don’t subscribe to feeds—feeds subscribe to us. In this specific instance it’s very likely the feed tried to unsubscribe from you, unsuccessfully. Vivaldi has the bad habit of trying to keep feeds around, which want to get away and this can result in broken video, misplaced pictures and spelling mistakes. The honorable thing to do is to break the connection/unsubscribe voluntarily. This might have start working for you again, but believe me: the feed is not in a happy place.

Well, regarding "the problem" -

I added the feed from Tilvid Blogs
There was a video in "TILvids Update - January 2022" and this played OK for me (from the feed). No spooling/buffering needed.
