[BUG] Dev tools opens multiple windows, closing dev tools closes ALL browser windows

Version 6.0.2979.15 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
While on a page, opening the dev tools (either by F12 or launching from the context menu via "inspect element") will open dev tools multiple times, one for each action. In other words, pressing F12 twice will open dev tools for that page in two separate windows.
The bigger problem comes when you close one of those dev tools windows. It shuts the entire browser down, closing ALL windows.
This bug also causes the first dev tool window to become non-responsive. Also, if you close the browser tab, the dev tools window remains open.

Hopefully someone else noticed!I have the same problem with webdev tools closing crashing the whole Vivaldi program.
I didn't notice how it was triggered, exactly, but you're right, it now allows multiple Developer Tools for the same tab and then it crashes on closing one of them.

Did you configured DevTool as Undocked window before upgrading to V6.x? If yes, I read there is a bug in opening DevTool but only when it is undocked.
I had to edit the preference file in profile directory, on the that file I changed the word undocked to right and then relaunched Vivaldi, now the DevTool is working fine by eating half width of screen, waiting for a fix. -

Exactly the same thing happens on MacOS.

For more context, before the last update, undocked devtools windows could somehow outlive the tab they are supposed to be tied to. That could sometimes crash the browser when closing said window.
The current bug "seems" to open a new devtools window each time the page is refreshed

For me outliving the closed tabs by dev console is still an issue (but I haven't noticed it before).

Duplicate windows is a Chromium issue , Vivaldi can not fix.

That is a Chromium issue

Well, I think it's Vivaldi bug. No one reported on Chromium...

@DoctorG Sorry, but I have installed the Chromium version of this Vivaldi version and in Chromium it does not do this. Please list this bug because it is a serious bug for those of us who are dedicated to web development.

I can confirm the bug for 6.0.2979.15 + 6.1.3001.3 / Win 11 22H2.
Bug with duplicated devtool windows and crash after close is gone in internal version 6.1.3004.13; stay tuned for fix in some next Snapshot.

I can confirm, that bug (multiple windows) is fixed for Manjaro.
Vivaldi version: 6.0.2979.22But another bug isn't fixed yet - closing vivaldi tab with activated Dev tools didn't close this one.
