Stable to Snapshot and vice-versa releases...
-
Good morning,
currently there are 2 stand-alone releases for the stable and shapshot versions.
I am wondering if we may think about a way as the "Windows Insider" program and let the users shift between both simply selecting in the option menu the version required. What's your opinion about?

@sev7en There are two releases: the Stable version and the Snapshot version. Either may be installed as a Standalone version.
I install the latest Stable release for All Users, and the latest Snapshot as a Standalone version., which I use as my default browser.
Each version has its own start menu shortcut, and both can be run at once. I can switch between them with Alt+Tab.
It is very useful to have them both running at once to compare the latest bugs and features with the default bugs and features that regular users see.

@sev7en Snapshots and Stables always should be installed separately. Stable for All Users and Snapshot as Standalone on Windows.
Linux and Mac have already different update channels and seperate browser profiles for Stable and Snapshot after install. -
@sev7en There is a big issue: while probably a stable can be switched to a snapshot (newer) the opposite can't be done as it could destroy the profile and break things. Also, you'll never know if a bug depends on the crossed update or the version you are/were on.
