New Bing (ChatGPT) in Vivaldi!
-
If you've gone through the waiting list and have it available, it's the PERFECT thing to add as a web panel (via 'bing unchained').
-
@AutumnSounds How did you do this?
I always get a pop-up that I have to use it in Edge. -
@oudstand If you read the OP's post carefully, you see that he mentions https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bing-unchained-use-new-bi/laldfnbbeocphnilnofhedhcjcnchbld
-
@sandrom I've read the
bing unchained
but didn't know it's a addon. Thanks for providing the linkBtw: it's also nice to have ChatGPT as web panel
-
@oudstand yeah it's the add on... but I think it does something with cookies maybe.
Once you've gotten to the site via the addon, you can just use the URL to add to the web panel and it works as normal. (will have to see if it still works after uninstalling the add-on). -
@AutumnSounds It doesn't work. I've disabled the addon and restartet Vivaldi. Then the web panel isn't working anymore.
-
I prefer to use privacy focused ads and search engines, Bing isn't and less ChatGPT.
I stay with Andisearch and also mostly You.com, as add on alternatively Perplexity.ai (as extension and PWA in Desktop). -

The extension overrides the user-agent header to masquerade as Edge on
bing.com
- that's basically all it does.user-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/110.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 Edg/110.0.1587.41
You could do this with any other extension that lets you override UA headers, there's nothing magic going on here

You've ruined the magic!
Well, I guess that's one to add as a feature request for my favorite browser. ♥ -
@AutumnSounds that would actually be a great feature

They're working on a feature to let us override the Client Hints header in the latest Snapshots. But it's early days and it does not let you change the HTTP User-Agent header - you still need an extension to do that.
