Where's the Delete Session button?

What is the problem with having Open, Delete and Cancel buttons which are the 3 basic operations users need?
There is no problem for me. Vivaldi developers of user interface decided to have no Delete.

I think there is no need to re-add a Delete button, you can use Sessions Panel.
Hi DoctorG, I'm using sessions quite regularly, and sometimes I make the mistake of having a second window with more tabs in the second plane when I save the session. I would like to be able to delete those sessions I don't need, as otherwise. What's the point of having sessions if I have a mess when looking at my sessions? Shouldn't it be better if I delete the irrelevant ones to have them organised out of clog?

@DoctorG Is there any extensions to add a delete button in Vivaldi as clearly many people in the community don't have the same opinions from the developers? Thanks for your reply.
-
@Translucido So far I found this extension that can Save, Update and Delete sessions, also can save all the sessions to a file or loading from a file, which is very helpful if someone wants to do a backup of their sessions. It is not ideal because Chrome said "This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." but I couldn't find what practices are those.

Hi, we have a feature request for this but it have exactly 4 user votes since a Year.
It will not come back.https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/94006/bring-back-the-delete-button-for-open-saved-sessions-window
-
@mib2berlin Probably because the users didn't know they could vote?
-
@mib2berlin Checking in that forum I realised I can edit, organise and delete my sessions using the left panel, which is exactly what I needed. All the best.

More than 2 years later.
There is no delete session button again (or it was never added?).Vivaldi version: 7.4.3684.50 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
-
The delete session button was removed from session save dialog popup. No goal of dev team to add it again.
Session can be deleted in Session Panel.
-
@DoctorG
Wow thanx!
And also.. bad..I had to add it to toolbar just to delete a session..
Then I removed it from toolbar again.I guess I will have to add and remove it when ever I want to delete a session?
Weird choice, but a choice none the less.And the tutorial is wrong.
There is no quick command.

Just let the Sessions Panel button stay in panel bar.
Removing an re-adding is too much business. -
@DoctorG
I don't want it there. -
@DumbJetty Typing sess works for me to see the correct command in Quick Commands.
And typing session panel works for me, too.
-
Weird.. Maybe that search only works if you have it in the sidebar?
I don't have open session panel.open saved session opens the list that doesn't have the delete button. So that's null and void to use.
-
@DumbJetty Quick command session panel does only shows up if you have such panel added.
-
@DoctorG
Aight, got it.
So I'm stuck with adding a button to panel, open panel, remove session, close panel and remove button.hahaha, like I said.. It's a choice indeed. And not a good and user friendly one if ya ask me.
-
@DumbJetty I like the panel.
The old Save Session popup on top of window was not my personal choice.But i understand that users have different workflows.
-
@DoctorG
Yee. I don't mind how it looks or anything.
I just don't want to be forced to have a side panel button to use a feature that is clearly usable without the side button.
All they had to do was leave a delete button. It's actually baffling the more I think of it.If they keep the old feature at all, why only remove a button?
Remove the entire thing then!?
Sure it's not user friendly to remove the old one.
But it's sure as hell not user friendly to force a feature to be used in a certain way, when another way was clearly usable to begin with.Here's your car, you can use the A/C, but only with the display settings.
Not with the physical buttons that are ment to manually set temp and strength. Even though, they are right there.Yeah.. I'm gonna stop thinking about it, I notice it's wracking my brain so hard that I'm getting angry and ranty instead
Thanx for the help tho!

@DumbJetty We have not much votes at Post #1 of feature request to get it back. Upvote with thumb-up button below post #1 if you want.

@DoctorG
Oh already done when I found it.. But nothing will happen, let's not kid ourselves here
