Telephone number formatting

The telephone number fields have some sort of unusual formatting (possibly Icelandic) that makes U.S. phone numbers look bizarre. Maybe you could just provide a text entry field so that users could provide their own formatting. Either that or read the country and adjust the formatting accordingly.
