Reminder popups

I have an issue that the same reminders I dismissed keep popping up from past dates I suppose at random times, and everytime I dismiss they keep showing up. (They are from 2 dates in the week, same time) recurring. Anyway to prevent this?

Same here.
For a few days, several times a day same reminder pops up. From an event that is scheduled in July.

This recurring activity I like to have in my calendar when I'm planning thing, not something I need a reminder of so I just turned off the reminders, but hope you find a solution, and let me know if you do.

@jtwillert We are aware of the problem and a fix is being worked on. Hopefully it will be ready soon.

Unfortunately no workaround other than removing the reminder from the event in question.

A fix for this has been pushed to our repository. It should be included in next update of soprano and snapshot and is planned to go into next minor update for stable release as well, hope that goes to plan.

I'm getting reminders for recurring events that ended years ago, like this one, I had to use search function to even find it:

As you can see this event ended in 2015 but all of a sudden a few weeks ago (I guess since the last update) I started getting reminders for it.

It happened just a few minutes ago so it's still there.

Hi, if I remember correctly the fix catch only new events.
My vivald.net and Google calendar start 2015 but I never got notifications for old events.
I add/remove the Google calendar several times because I am use it only for testing, maybe that´s the reason.

@mib2berlin @rosswald It seems I was misunderstanding a bit with our release process and this fix didn't make it into any of our stable builds yet. So for users using the normal stable channel from our main download page then the issue is still there.

Unfortunately there is no simple workaround. One which involves opening up the database and messing with the stored recurrence rule is possible, but I'd not recommend it unless the reminders are totally untolerable.

I am also getting a pop-up reminder for a birthday from last September. I tried deleting my calendar, reinstalling it, nothing. This is annoying. Even if I delete it, it reappears.
