Using CTRL-Z to undelete mail and feeds
-
Each morning I get a cup of coffee, open Vivaldi on the work laptop and wade through a couple of hundred feed articles - opening the interesting ones in the background and deleting the rest. Occasionally, the caffeine hasn't reached optimal concentration so my finger will hit delete just as my brain notices a word in the title which looks interesting.
In the past I would just press CTRL-Z and the article would reappear in the feeds list for me to take a second look - but something changed in mail and feeds a few months ago and it's no longer possible. Now I have to go to the trash can (organised by date), scroll down and hope the one I deleted was the "newest" at the bottom so I can find it without having to go looking by feed source or whatever. If I do press CTRL-Z by mistake (still not enough caffeine) it will reopen a closed tab instead... annoying.
Why does CTRL-Z not do an undelete any more?
Before posting this I did some testing and found more weirdness - I deleted a mail article, pressed CTRL-Z (it didn't get undeleted), went to the trash and found it there but couldn't undelete - when I clicked move it said it was still in the inbox! I don't remember how I got it out of the trash again but when I tried on other mails the delete/undelete behaviour worked as expected - but no CTRL-Z option.
I'm not sure if I should file a bug report about this as it is kind of a regression (since you could use CTRL-Z before), but it might have been a decision by the team. I just don't know.

@mossman This is a known bug - VB-76035, so no need to report. Hopefully will be fixed soon.

@LonM good to know, thanks. Must have missed that one if it was mentioned in the snapshot chat.
