Solved Issue: Pasting event automatically changes event time
-
When I am pasting events, Vivaldi changes both start and end times of the pasted event, even though the times should be the same as the event I copied from.
-
This bug has been fixed in today's release of Vivaldi 6.0.

@SSBeluga Sorry for a late response, not quite active enough on the forum to pick up all issues. I am not able to reproduce this. The pasted event gets the same time as the source event.
Is there anything special about the event you tried to copy?
- Is this a repeating event?
- Does it have a timezone definition different from local timezone or set to "Always in local time"?
- Does the new time correspond with the current time, like start of next hour or something like that?
- Can you copy with correct time in other views in the calendar?
- Does it apply to all events and all occasions, or only some?
- Any other details you think might be relevant...
Thanks for helping us by posting your problem.

@eggert There is nothing special about the event I tried to copy.
The bug occurs every time I paste an event without clicking on the desired time slot beforehand. But when I do click on the time slot before pasting, the problem disappears, but only in the current calendar tab. When I try to paste an event in a new calendar tab, the problem reappears. Then it changes the start and end time so the start time matches the nearest current hour, even though they should stay the same.
There is also another bug I noticed when I am editing an all day event, where when I set an event to "All Day" and then type in any text field in the edit window, it moves the end time forward by 1 day with every character I type.
So the calendar app seems quite buggy right now in its current state. Hence why I use google calendar instead of Vivaldi's calendar.

@SSBeluga Thank you for the reply. I have been able to reproduce this now with your additional info. Will make a ticket so we can hopefully resolve that quickly.
Regarding the time changing, there was a recent regression which caused this and we didn't notice until too late. A fix is already done which I hope will make it into the next release.
Thanks again for the feedback. Much appreciated.

Fix has been pushed to our internal repo. It should be included in the next release if all goes as planned.
Thanks a bunch for the help
