Autoscroll not working
...on Ubuntu 16.04. Not sure if it's even supposed to, but it doesn't work. Works fine in Firefox.
What is Autoscroll?
First you click the middle mouse button (and optionally hold it; if you do, it'll stop scrolling when you let go; otherwise you have to press again), and then moving your mouse does the scrolling.
It's a nice way to scroll, when there's a lot to scroll, because you don't have to turn your mouse wheel like a fool, and you don't have to fiddle with the scroll bar either.
Works fine on Windows, too. Just not on my Ubuntu GNOME.

Autoscroll is a native function in Firefox, which is why you found it works ok in your FF in Linux. However natively NO chromium-based browser in Linux has functioning AS, despite those same browsers working fine with AS in Windows. To work around this nuisance, here's the extension i use in all my chromium-based browsers in Linux; it works very nicely:
Thanks. I had no idea.
