      After updating to Vivaldi 5.7 I wanted to try the new Window panel. I had removed the button for it from the panel view.
      Unfortunately I can't find an option to add it back.

      It used to be possible to check or uncheck panels in a dropdown list. Now there is instead an edit window, but it doesn't seem to work for the panels. In the top pane there are all the available panels, and in the bottom pane there should be only the active ones, but there they are all shown instead, and nothing can be changed with the window.

      So how do I get the button for the panel window back?

        In the Toolbar Editor, you need to drag the Window Panel button from the available options to where you want to have it. Either to the Panel bar or some other toolbar.

          @jane-n Yes. But exactly this does not work. I have also described this in detail, but unfortunately not with the recognizable term toolbar editor.

            @Dancer18 I have now risked resetting the panel bar to default. Unfortunately I lost all the web panels, but I can restore them.

            Conclusion: Now the window panel is back. But the missing setting possibility with the toolbar editor is probably a bug.

              I tested, but cannot reproduce the issue. 🤔

                  I tested it in a clean profile too.

                  May be I'm too stupid. I checked this toolbar editor also in snapshot, not only for panels but also for navigation and status bar.
                  I could not manage a single item to add or remove. Sorry.

                    @Dancer18 Does a video help?

                    3 different ways to re-add a removed panel to the toolbar:

                    • Right-click, Edit, Reset panel to default.
                    • Right-click, Edit, Customize Toolbar, Reset panel to default
                    • Right-click, Edit, Customize Toolbar, drag the panel into place

                      @Pathduck Thank you. Meanwhile, a light came on for me, even without the video. I remembered how I did it in the mail editor.

                      I didn't come to the simple solution, because the toolbar editor consists of two areas. I thought I had to drag the corresponding buttons from the top to the bottom, instead of into the corresponding bar.

                      The design of the toolbar editor confused me.
