I'm unable to view videos from a certain site.
- No videos at this site will play in V..
- Opening a V. Guest Window did not help.
- The videos play without any problem in Chrome and Brave.
They always played fine there in the past. This is the first time I've tried in maybe two weeks. I don't have any other V. video problems that I'm aware of.
The error message in V is
This video file cannot be played. (Error Code: 239000)
One of the problem videos is:
Hi, the video play in latest stable and snapshot on Opensuse Linux.
I find many results if I search the error message for all browser.
Check it protected content is disabled:
The widedevine version on my system is 4.10.2557.0, check on:
@mib2berlin Thanks for checking, I have protected content permitted, and I'm running the same widevine version. I haven't changed any related settings.
Hm, there was some media changes in last two snapshot, this does not work out for all user. No idea why it work for me but not for you.
You can try to run the update script in /opt/
If it is up to date you get a message, if not it update ffmpeg to the corresponding version.
@mib2berlin Thanks again. It said I am already up to date. Still not working.
Ut oh, the problem is not confined to that one site:
I watch this video only for 2 seconds but it play, other on this page, too.
One user mention a location issue but I test this over ExperessVPN from a US location.
I am out of ideas, may another user wit a Debian based distro steps by.
