Lost single-key shortcuts in one user profile
-
I had a few single-key numpad shortcuts that were serving me very well. But the last snapshot had extension problems that caused me to restore the profile from a few days before, and finally to downgrade to the previous snapshot so I could have the extensions back.
Today's new snapshot solved the extension problems. But since all the hoopla with profiles I have been without the single-key shortcuts.
I have tried resetting all shortcuts, closing V, and reopening. Nothing has worked.
I have a second user profile that these shortcuts work fine in.
Is there anything I can do, short of starting a new profile from scratch?
Thanks.

@paul1149 Hi, no problem using numpad hotkeys here. I'm on Win10 but I doubt this is OS-related.
If you actually had specified What shortcuts you had mapped it might've helped understand and test better.
Have you enabled single-key shortcuts in Settings > Keyboard?
I guess this is a good example of why we don't downgrade profiles, when we test Snapshots we deal with the issues we have without going back.

Hi PD,
They are pretty simple numpad1 - previous tab (order); numpad2 -next tab(order); numpad 5 -reload page.Apparently you are correct in suspecting the downgrade as the culprit. I can think of nothing else.
But you've given me an idea. I should have a profile that precedes the downgrade. I will look.

@Pathduck Ah, a thing of beauty. I saved the most current session, found a profile from a couple of days before snapshot 2014, closed V, restored the older Default profile, paid back the most recent Session into that profile, reinstalled the current V-snap for good measure, and bingo, all shortcuts working as before, and latest session now restored.
I guess this confirms the problem with downgrading, and also the advisability of keeping backups! Thank you, PathDuck.
