I've Been Living With the Extensions In Whatever Order
-
I won't do it anymore. I'm tired of this inability to re-arrange the icons. They used to be moveable. Why does one new function always seem to screw up some existing function? Because no one knows how to test all paths. It should be a requirement that each change be verified through an IDE that each path has been tested and still works as with the same functionality as the last person that did a complete path test in addition to their added pathways. There's no excuse for this. Someone needs to QA that the last test plan still works without disruption by the new functionality.
That being said yet again. Every post I've read suggests that using the shift key to drag and drop will lead to success. NOT!

Hi,
This changed while ago.Probably was mentioned in the What's new page but missed.
Now use Ctrl as key to move almost any element.

@CityguyUSA Hi, please read the Help documentation for answers:
"Enabled extensions often display a button on the Address Bar. You can reorder these buttons by holding down the Ctrl/⌘ key and dragging and dropping them directly on the Address Bar."
https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/appearance-customization/extensions/#Reorder_extensions_on_the_Address_BarIt used to be Shift, but that was a long time ago.

@CityguyUSA See the topic Reordering Extensions in help.
-
@Pathduck I didn't find anything in the documentation.
-
@Zalex108 Thanks. You've made my life so much easier.
I don't think I've ever seen a "What's New Page". Is this something that comes up after an update? Or should?
-
@CityguyUSA I was somewhere different during my search but here's a problem of font coloring I suppose.
I was just trying to close this window and the font color changes by widening the column. Who knew?
I can't seem to close the sidebar without losing the icons on the left. Am I missing something? No matter if I click the X in the upper right of the column or I click the left icon at the bottom in the status line I get the same thing. It closes everything.
-
@Pathduck I looked at this but it didn't seem like it was an answer so I never clicked on it and yet I would have seen it if I had clicked the link but why would I. There's no illusion to anything having to do with icon order.

Yes,
But now that IRC, the miss would be related to the startup mode.Opening last session may block the site.
I'll see what are the URLs

Some sites with Dark Background or different kind of code, looks broken when, Dark Background is enabled on Vivaldi.
Disable it for the V Help site and any other looking that bad.
-
@Zalex108 That’s not true, pages which check for operating system theme to decide on the page theme load their own CSS. This has nothing to do with inverting the colors, which can look broken sometimes. If elements become white on the help page it needs to be reported an fixed, no need to disable anything, moreover I wouldn’t even know how to disable it for specific pages.
-
@CityguyUSA I can reproduce the issue, but it only appears when the page is below 399 pixel in width. It appears to load a different style sheet then.

@Zalex108 No idea what you are doing. Anyway, I reported the bug in the meantime.
