Extension That Solves Vivaldi Linux’ Save As MHTML Issue; Any Progress on a Solution?
-
A boot disk crash has forced me to switch to Vivaldi for Linux on my backup disk and I think saving as MHTML began working in Vivaldi for Linux after failing in Linux version 2.10.1745.21 ( "no way to save some pages as MHTML?"- Vivaldi Forums) but I'm finding the same problem in the version 5.6 (5.6.2867.50 (Stable channel) 64-bit Kubuntu 18.04) that I've updated to.
This appears to be an insoluble issue, based on the most recent thread reply I could find on this ( "BUG: HTML files instead MHTML" -Vivaldi Forums, May 2022 ), so I'm throwing in the towel on hoping Vivaldi developers will ever solve this (especially frustrating given Vivaldi for Android does this flawlessly) and reporting the good news that there is a Chrome extension ( "Save Webpages Offline As MHTML" - Chrome Web Store ) that works like a charm
Is there any chance this will ever work correctly??
