Vivaldi does not show my passwords
-
Vivaldi is auto filling the passwords, but when i try to see them, it shows me that there is no passwords saved!
Somebody can help me please?

@Andrezos
Hi, Vivaldi need a working Keyring/Kwallet system to save/show passwords, it is a bit strange it fills passwords but you cant see it.
Please open chrome://settings and search there for passwords.
Please add your Vivaldi version, distro and DE.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Hello,
5.6.2867.50 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)
i'm using Lubuntu
chrome://settings, passwords don't show up there either
-
@Andrezos
Hi, Lubuntu use which DE?
I use KDE and Kwallet to encrypt browser passwords, if I disable Kwallet I cant see the passwords.
Iirc all Chromium browser need a working password encryption.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin KwalletManager is installed here, but a dont know how to use it
-
@Andrezos
Hm, my Opensuse does this automatically for me at first start of the system but I guess you have to start a new wallet add a password then start Vivaldi.
May another user steps by with more knowledge or search for "Lubuntu configure Kwallet Chrome" give you some more information.Cheers, mib

Well, i purge deleted vivaldi and deleted the folder .config/vivaldi/Default in home, i made login again and the passwords are now showing up for me!
i didn't have to use kwallet. -
@Andrezos
This is the hard way but fine if it work for you.
If I dismiss the Kwallet promt on Vivaldi start my password list is empty, no idea why this work on Lubuntu.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Me neither haha, thank you

@Andrezos If kwallet is unlocked with same password as Linux user you will never get any password prompt for kwallet.
