      Hello Community,

      • Ubuntu 22.04
      • Vivaldi 5.6.2867.46 (Stable channel) stable (64-bit)

      This is second time that I lost my previous session (with more than 100 tabs organised) after an update. The 1st time I was lucky enough to find my session in the bin. Now, I'm less lucky.

      • What can I do to restore my previous session if possible?
      • Is it possible to secure my last lost session by backing up a part of my $HOME/.config/vivaldi cache? If yes which part?

      Thank you in advance for your support

        I made a backup of .config/vivaldi/Default. Then I removed the original Default and opened vivaldi, which created a new Default directory. I closed vivaldi, removed the created Default and restored my original one. I started vivaldi which opened my last session.
        Unbelievable. What is the logic behind?

          @ropieur Check the Window panel, there are all closed windows and tabs.

            @DoctorG ,
            I just verified, but I don't retrieve my pinned tabs, nor my stacks (the most important part for me). Just like vivaldi remembers tabs opened yesterday only.
            Note that this morning, all tabs and stacks were present just before the update.
            What would be the next step?
            Thanx

                  @ropieur Hmm, perhaps Sync broke something, but this is only a guess. And guessing is not professional.
