My Missing Features Requets
-
Hi, Loving Vivaldi, coming from Firefox 64bit -> Vivaldi 32bit feels snappier and less taxing on my system resources. I however have a few feature requests: Show me the speed in Kb/s or Mb/s of my downloads (This is a big one and why I refuse to use Microsoft Edge browser) Allow me to set the little bar on the bottom (the one with the zoom slider etc) to pop up on mouse over and be hidden at other times. Having the bar there all the time is annoying as it makes the browser feel too much like a box. I realise you can hide the bar but then you loose easy access to the side panel. Allowing the bar to appear on mouse over, just like Windows charms/side bar would be ideal. Allow me to turn off password remembering prompts. As a matter of security hygiene I never save my passwords in the browser EVER! and as such I would never like to be notified to do so, I realise if I click never for the site I won't be asked for that site again, however clicking never is getting annoying so I'd like to just have a global never setting which I am used to having in Firefox. Sync my bookmarks AND settings to my Vivaldi account (encrypted of course), currently if I go to another machine and install Vivaldi it does not sync my bookmarks, think Firefox sync but for Vivaldi. I think that is pretty much it. I am really excited about Vivaldi, Firefox has become a dog of a thing, the reason I used Firefox over Google chrome is because Google is to creepy recording everything I do. So Vivaldi based on Chromium is fantastic I reckon

Hi, you can reach many settings not shown in Vivaldi UI with:
chrome://settings/search#pass
Or other search phrase.
May you can live with enabled panel switch and hidden bottom panel.
For me mouse movement to panel switch is to high since years.Cheers, mib

Thanks mib!
I was able to turn off the password save prompts based on your advice! Probably be good to show that setting for the general populace tho in the passwords section!
