Typing on startup before open
-
Hey,
I would love to keep using vivaldi but this is such an essential feature for me that otherwise I would have to switch again and I am actually surprised nobody asked for this before.
Even with a fast pc it obviously takes a moment until your browser started up entirely etc.
But when I have sth I need to look up fast and do not have my browser open all the time, I have to wait for vivaldi to finally start up and select the search field for me to start typing and this is simply wasted time. And in a normal scenario I may be in the middle of work and may forget the idea just waiting for vivadli to start up. (And this doesn‘t even mention the case when vivaldi just opens some other menu because the search field wasnt selected yet and I already pressed a key). What i recommend is a simply done feature:
Let the User type before vivaldi is done starting,
let this be the first thing the code does.
Every other browser does this, now please give us the option as well, it has nothing but upsides. -
@VeniVidiIloadedVivaldi It would not work. Vivaldi is not responsive to keyboard input until it has started up.
Look at why your Vivaldi takes more than a second or two to start up.
Are you starting with the Last Session, which contains many tabs and windows?

Why is that? Any programmable reason or, no offense, did you simply repeat what I stated?
Well, then, a follow up question: Vivaldi is not open source from what i know?! So there‘s not really an option to do it myself?! Thanks in advance.PS: I do not open the last session, in general i have vivaldi broken down to more or less only what I need.
