Just installed the RPM on my new laptop with Nobara (Fedora based) distro. The tab bar overlaps its text and does not work! Please help. 94f4d7c9-176f-4993-aebf-e7ed76d983ca-image.png

Hi, this can be a problem with GPU/driver and Vivaldi, you can try a flag:
            vivaldi://flags/#disable-accelerated-2d-canvas
I forgot if enabled or disabled is the default, on my systems it doesn´t matter, simply try.
Please add your Vivaldi version, GPU and window manager.

            Cheers, mib

You meant the flag does not change anything?
Check with Nvidia settings if vSync is enabled, try to disable it.
You have to restart the xserver or reboot.

                Cheers, mib

How would I disable vSync? I do not have an active windows partition.

@kzhe In NVidia Panel on Linux. You do not have one?
                    Then use program nvidia-settings

I don´t have a Nvidia card anymore and my nvidia setting looks completely different 6 month ago.
Please search the web, there are thousands of pages about nvidia settings and vsync.
Iirc you can even disable it from the command line as root:

                              /usr/bin/nvidia-settings -a 'SyncToVBlank=0'

Keep in mind to set it back to 1 if it does not change anything for the Vivaldi issue.
More important, no guarantees, such settings can break your system.

                              Cheers, mib

I checked and even switched to ubuntu. Didn't find a way yet, still looking. Please help. I've looked on the internet furiously. No luck at all for finding anything.

The glitch makes vivaldi unusable and persists across linux distros.

The error message is clear, the Nvidia driver is not working.
Anyway, I am on Linux and we have many Linux user here in the forum.
I had Nvidia and now I am on AMD and Intel GPU, no problems.
Can you check another Chromium browser?
Chromium should be on the most distributions.
Firefox is completely different, you cant compare with it.

                                    Cheers, mib
