Auto-Open file type after download?
-
Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was a way to make vivaldi automatically open up a file type after the download is completed? (Like it does in chrome) That to me is really, the only thing missing. Thanks! ~Mike

Wow, the topic was started 1.5 months ago and still doesn't have a single answer. What a shame. Developers, please pay your attention.There is no doubt that the developers know about this issue as it was posted in the Feature Request thread, and they also need it themselves. They cannot possibly track every thread in the forums.

I guess it's still not available, as I can't find an option in my copy?

@zhangdl Support for MIME types is already in the Feature Requests thread.. Be patient. They cannot do everything at once.
All you have to do is double-click the download in the downloads panel. It's hardly difficult or time-consuming.
Or you can click "Open" instead of Save when you click the link and it will open in your associated program.

@Pesala Thanks! Probably it's because I had chosen "Always save files to the default download location", I didn't see this dialog window. Now I figured it out. That's all I need. Have a nice day!

@pesala
hardly timeconsuming..........well if its only 1 PDF you want to print for example yes. but we have to print hundreds of pdf labels every day - a doubleclick more sums up into hours of additional work over a year.it's such a simple feature. open after download.
