Or the lack of it.
Coming from the ordinary environment, being different web-browsers with way too many tabs open and no integrations with mail and calendars etc etc,

-- Vivaldi is more then a welcome application on my multiple desktops Windows / Linux and Mac)! --

What I find is that the getting used to working in the integrated environment Vivaldi is a steep hill to climb. I find myself searching for "Where is the web-browser ??" how can I isolate one mail account form the other without accidentally work in the wrong mail account ..

Once I am in the browser, where is the back button (well; its in the most left top corner left of a panel (which has nothing to do with the web browser and above the general Vivaldi functionality list) very confusing and not a very intuitive place to look and find. Also the very little icons on the left bottom are some kind of functionality hidden in plain sight.

Not to mention there are also little icons on the far top right of Vivaldi.
Working on 27" monitors and larger these are a lot of places to look and a lot of distance the mouse has the travel as wel as my Eyes has to look .. Not at last a lot of places I have to remember where to access which functionality

About me:
I am a senior IT professional with 35+ years of experience and developing / design dozens of applications. If I am confused (lost), 90+ % of the users in the world will not be able to tell one function from the other.

The idea is awesome, the approach to finally get these functions together in one place is what I've been waiting for long time! Please add some more user logic to Vivaldi. It will be the killer app everyone! want to use.

@EricK64 I suggest that you spend a lot more time working with Vivaldi and learning how to configure it to your needs before making specific feature requests if they do not already exist. This one is not valid.

Some history
The iPhone is a huge succes because my grandma instantly understood what the icons where suppose to do.

Just 2 examples:
Intuitively,
I wanted to rename a stack, after I accidentally grouped 2 tabs together and loved the function. It took around 10 minutes to find renaming the stack is the bottom topic in the help file. I also found the renaming is about the ONLY feature not available in the intuitive right mouse click on a stack. Double click is a dangerous way of renaming (..) and it is a single function available in a isolated place again. Why is it not just available with together with all the other tab and stack function under the right click ?? Confusion is my feeling.

Secondly I tried to close the Help section on the left. clicking the obvious X on the right top of the help file got me closing the whole functions bar.. Again confused how can I get rid of the help file. It turns out just double click the Vivaldi icon again.

If you want Vivaldi to be the ultimate geek tool 'urban' users do not understand how to use, then I am stating a non issue and can be ignored
If you like to see some more adoption. Please spend some time to make this tool intuitive. It's all there, it's not hard to set rename in the right click as all other apps in the world offer their functions and then my neighbour being a school teacher and not willing to spend more learning time then MS Word on a suite, wil also be able to understand and use Vivaldi

Right now I am not sure to keep using it if I want to sent a email and become distracted for 10 minutes before I am able to do 20 seconds of typing before hitting a send button (in the obvious place please)

I think I was not clear, Usability is a 'overal' feature request and I liked to comment on my adoption experience. If you think Vivaldi is enough Intuitive and the topic is not open for discussion it would feel like a missed opportunity cause at least this new user felt otherwise

Hi, thanks for trying out vivaldi. I've moved this out of feature requests because we like to keep each request topic about a single specific thing that can be worked on. If there are specific thing you think need added that would aid with usability, you can make those requests.

The rename option is available on the context menu of the stack, but not on the context menu of tabs. That feature has been requested: Rename Tabs. The first row of a tab stack is where you need to right-click to rename. I don't know why it takes an IT Pro 10 minutes to click a link in the help file to find out how to rename tab stacks.

6 Renaming Tab Stacks

Double-click does nothing on a tab, unless one enables the option in Settings, Tabs, to Close Tab with Double-click. You apparently found out how to double-click the top row tab stack title to rename it. Why is that dangerous?

You only need to single-click a Panel Icon to close the panel. I also don't like the Close Button, and commented when it was introduced that it was bad UI design. It can now be disabled in Settings, Panel. F4 toggles the Panel Toolbar.

Intuitive to most people just means “whatever I am accustomed to.” Vivaldi was born in a different stable; unless you previously used Opera Presto, you might find it unfamiliar.

@EricK64 Using a browser with an integrated email client is probably a new experience to you, so you should expect a learning curve for that.

You made a number of points, which I tried to address before. Here are some more:–

Where is the web browser? Presumably, you were looking at the mail tab. The web browser just uses other tabs and/or windows.
How can I isolate one mail account? In the mail panel, you can work from unread or received folders to view all messages in all accounts, or you can expand All Accounts, and work from the Inbox of any account. Some users may prefer to work from the Contacts Panel.
Where is the Back Button? No, it is not in the Panel. It is on the Address Bar, where one would expect it to be. One can Display All Navigation Controls in the Panel to browse the history of pages visited in the Panel, but that is disabled by default.
The smaller buttons in the Status Bar are: Show/hide the Panel Toolbar, Take a Break, Synchronise, Mail, and Calendar.
The little icons on the top right are standard Windows control buttons to minimise, restore, or close the browser window. Mac or Linux may be different. There is also a Trash icon to list the last 99 closed tabs/windows.
The toolbars are customisable to suit your workflow, but the top right buttons are OS controls, not Vivaldi buttons.
Large, high resolution monitors may be made more usable by increasing the User Interface Zoom in Settings, Appearance.
Please spend some time to make this tool intuitive. The developers spent more than seven years already doing that. Please give it at least seven days before forming opinions about how it should be designed. Then search for feature requests to upvote, or create your own.
