I used to be able to save cookies on exit only for a few sites on Vivaldi. For example, I would let google keep its cookies, so I would still be logged in after restarting the browser.

It used to be a feature back in the (old) Opera days, and on Vivaldi it was possible via some tinkering on the Chrome Settings page (set default to delete cookies on exit, then "allow" certain sites). But now after a new install of Vivaldi on a new computer, it seems I can no longer do this.

Was the feature removed? Does anybody still have a working way of only allowing certain sites' cookies to persist after exit?

If the feature is gone, it would be nice to have it back.

Edit: Oh wait, nevermind, it still works. I'll just leave this post here in case wants to know how to do this.

@iateyourgranny Should be still possible, but is a nightmare to do via chromium UI, so we have an umbrella request for a native vivaldi way: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/24235/better-cookie-management

Honestly, I demand the whitelist feature to Cookie Auto Delete extension waiting for some Vivaldi UI improvements on that side.

@Razielsoulshadow This is how I do it:

            1. In the address bar, open chrome://settings/cookies
(My general settings is set to "Block third-party cookies in in-cognito".)

            2. You will want to have "clear cookies and site data when you close all windows" toggled on.

            3. Scroll down to "Customized Behaviors - Sites that can always use cookies"

            4. Add the sites that you want to store cookies on exit. Ideally, you would want to add the web address that stores your login cookies. For Youtube, for example, I added "accounts.google.com" and "youtube.com" to the list. For Facebook, I think I had to add "[*.]facebook.com".
