Stop automatic reloading of failed pages
-
Is there any setting to disable automatic reloading of failed pages?
If I enter some site name that is not available or doesn't exist, Vivaldi, after the loading fails, tries to reload it again and again. I don't need this feature. If I want, I will reload manually.
Moreover, there are some websites that ban an address forever if it is "bombing" frequently.

Please, have you some steps for me to reproduce?

Please download video from https://dropmefiles.com/JQ3PC
This file will be automatically deleted in 7 days.Please note that on the video I do not press or click the reload button. Vivaldi reloads on its own.
However, I tried this with a website that is currently overloaded and is therefore sometimes temporarily unavailable (https://dvprogram.state.gov). Vivaldi tried to reload that website minimum 7 times although the website failed and no JavaScript was loaded that could cause such a behaviour.

@Vus Hi - I don't think there's any option to disable this reloading, it's a built-in Chromium feature.
Someone else asked the same question on SuperUser, never got a reply:

Do you have an example of such a site? I can't think how that would happen, as error pages usually only appear if there's a network error, so nothing has arrived at the server.

I thought it only auto reload once when refocus the tab? Never have I seen a failed page keep on reloading nonstop...
