Vivaldia appears blurry even though pixelated image rendering set
-
I've noticed that when playing the Vivaldia game, the canvas is ignoring the
image-rendering
property. It appears blurry when it should be pixelated. This doesn't appear to be an inherent issue with Vivaldi, as I can confirm it registers
image-rendering: pixelated
as intended on other websites.I've tested this on the latest version of Vivaldi (
5.4.2753.47 (Stable channel) (arm64)
, at time of writing), on both macOS Monterey (12.5.1) and the latest macOS Ventura beta (13.0 Beta (22A5331f)).Is this happening for anyone else?

Unfortunately, this has been a bug with the game as far back as version 3.5. I'm afraid that it does not seem likely that it will be fixed any time soon.
I've also noticed that the music no longer loops correctly either.
-
Yikes. That’s unfortunate; I hope it does receive some bug fixes at some point.
-
@AltCode Vivaldia never received any fixes or updates. I wonder whether someone would look into it should it break completely. It’s a shame, because it’s a nice game.
-
@luetage So it's essentially breaking down update by update, one tiny bug at a time, just like the old dino game reskin that used to ship with Vivaldi then.
-
@AltCode Unfortunately so. Have you reported the problem with the sound loop?
-
@luetage It seems as though I did, and then forgot all about it:
VB-73129 Vivaldia game soundtrack fails to loop properly after playing for a few minutes -
@AltCode I can’t replicate this. Problem is I always turned music off when I used to play the game. But I played it with music yesterday and everything seemed fine. How long does it take to show an issue? Do you just keep it on the starting screen (before pressing space to start) and let the music run?

Yeah, that's one way I could replicate it, but I also noticed it would fail to loop the soundtrack around the time you fight they flying eyeball, here:
-
@AltCode Yeah, got it too now. I believe this wasn’t the case when it came out.

Looks like the blurry issue is fixed
