Cannot switch to mobile version in panel for Outlook web
-
Hi guys, I have a problem with vivaldi panel. First time I added my outlook web to the panel. It works fine in the mobile version of outlook. Then I deleted it. However, later on every time I tried to add back the outlook web to the panel. It is always in the website version. The option for changing to mobile version is not working! Does anyone know the reason? I look the idea of vivaldi panel but I have experiences some difficulty in using it. Thanks in advance!

At a quick glance (I don't use any form of Outlook) I am unable to find a mobile-specific web address or a mobile version of Outlook Web. It appears the way they want you to use Outlook Web on a phone or other mobile device is to use an app.
It looks as though there's only a single portal for outlook.com, and it detects what kind of device you are using and sends you the page formatted for it. It can tell Vivaldi is a desktop browser on your machine now, apparently. Maybe if you cleared cookies and cache.
I just added a panel at address https ://www.outlook.com , and it gave me a mobile-looking panel. I'm thinking clear cookies and cache.

Hi there. Is there any update to this? This issue still happens in 2018. Its a shame because one of the best uses of the web panel is to use it with Outlook.com's webmail for Office 365 users.
Has anyone found a workaround to force the mobile view? The desktop view is completely unmanagable as a web panel.

I just added my outlook account into web panel and it is showing the mobile version.

@pgee Did you add Office 365 by going to the page, right-clicking on the loaded page and selecting "Add Page to Web Panel?"

I figured out a way to get this to half-work.
- This only applies to the regular outlook.com, not any of the O365 portals
- Make sure you're opted in to the beta view if you are given the option
- In the panel, make sure you're loading the mobile version
- Make sure the panel is relatively narrow
- Press Refresh in the panel control multiple times
If successful, you will see something like this:
