Hi, I test to add a Gmail account on 5.3.2679.61 (Stable channel) (64-Bit) in a clean profile and it open the OAuth, Google pop up open and after enter my user/pass the account was added.
This is my test installation in a clean state but I have a Gmail account in my default install, too.
To exclude all settings and extensions you can try in a clean profile.
I had a strange error using AVAST on a friends PC, I cant add any mail account. After disable AVAST all work as expected.
Do you use any third party AV software?Cheers, mib

im not running an av and temporarily disabled my (private)firewall.
i made a new profile/added person and tried it, but the same error after successful oath..
is there some way to see the exact error other than the shown "object object"?? -
@schreck
Hi, you can enable IMAP logging in the mail settings and open "Show Logs" from the mail icon in the status bar.
No idea if this give some hints what happen.Cheers, mib
