Vivaldi on Linux Lite OS 2.8 32bit
Having problems with Vivaldi mouse freezing. LL 2.8 kernel 3.13. Scroll works oK bu cursor freezes. Have tried disabling gestures but does not resolve problem. Cursor "ghosts" i.e cursor pointer is stuck but icons can be activated if you happen to move the "ghost" over them.
Did you try if the same happens also using chromium?
No, Chromium running OK as Firefox. Slimjet and Midori regarding cursor. All on LL 2.8 32bit Kernel 3.13
Good news though - Flash seems to be working on 32bit without any tinkering on my part. Pepperflash non free already installed for other browsers.
Though my primary on-SSD OS is Mint x64 17.3 KDE, i also have many different distros installed in VB VMs on my other drive in my main pc. One of those is Linux Lite x64, but it was only v2.6… i hadn't realised that v2.8 was available til i read your post, so tonight i updated to v2.8. Although i run later kernels in my main Mint OS, in Linux Lite i've stayed with the default Linux 3.13.0-62-generic kernel. As i'd not fired up this VM for some months its version of V was old, so i also updated to current SS 1.1.443.3 (Developer Build) dev (64-bit).
The LL mouse behaviour [both within & without Vivaldi in LL] seems entirely ok to me, no freezing or ghosting, or anything else amiss. I do realise though that this might be a useless comparison for you, given that:
1. Mine is x64 vs yours x86.
2. Yours [presumably] runs natively, vs mine that is running within a VirtualBox VM, ie, VB Guest Additions is administering my mouse & keyboard inputs from the main OS.
Tks for the response. Waiting now for Vivaldi version 1.1 stable to see whether that improves things. I was an early adopter of Opera in windows and opera lite still on my phone (Palm Pro made by HTC windows OS) . Looking forward to Vivaldi developing its linux offering - new blood etc
Hence will keep trying Vivaldi versions out. Linux Lite version 3.0 is due sometime early June .
Been running Vivaldi 1.2.490.39 () (64-bit) on Linux Lite 3.0 64-bit and it works great. Stable and fast. I like it.
LL 3.0 is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS w/4.4 Kernel and XFCE desktop.
My machine is a Lenovo Ideapad G50-45 notebook w/AMD A6 quad-core CPU.
