Google (Chrome/Chromium) to introduce new link type "preload"

Hi Vivaldi team, will Vivaldi keep the option to disable preloading resources DESPITE Google's plan to take that option away? See W3C's article on this ===> Preload I understand that some may regard it as advantageous that resources are loaded before the user herself/himself actively requests them BUT it sends horrifying shivers up my spine imagining in which way this could be maliciously used. I am just picturing things like "". Who would be held legally accountable in such a case?! Thanks for shedding light onto this aspect. Regrds Roger Wilco

I would assume this is something that can be filtered through extensions like NoScript and uMatrix, though I don't know if they already do.
