looking at headers
-
Is it possible to see email headers? If so, how? TIA
-
Hello, @janrif
I came across this thread in the forum about headers, you might take a look at it to see if it is helpful or if it is your same problem.
-
@realmat0s I think you linked to the wrong thread?
@janrif right click the top section of a message (the Grey part with email addresses, time etc) and choose show raw message
-
@janrif
CRTL+U
if you have a mail selected or rightclick at the header of a mail and select the last menu item (perhaps show raw data ) -

@RealMat0s Thanks for this. Next question: do you know if Vivaldi mail can filter header criteria? TIA
-
@janrif It filters Header info - to:, From:. Subject: etc.
It does not segregate these. Just, if you enter a search term to filter, it searches the header as well.

@Ayespy Thank you. I think I didn't ask the right question. For example in raw message, I see this sort of thing.
Could I filter for (Postfix)? TIA

@janrif I don't think so.
-
@janrif to avoid getting more spam, you should remove or spoof your email address from that post
-
-
@janrif edit your post and replace your email address, e.g. with [email protected]

I appreciate that you are trying to help me but I don't understand either of your suggestions.
So I get a piece of spam addressed to [email protected]
Now what?

@janrif Your query post included your full, actual email address. Making your email address public is bad for your security and your privacy. I edited it out.

@Ayespy Much appreciated. Thank you very much.
