Polestar AAOS11: Unable to login to Google
-
@gadgett It's supposed to be under Settings > Privacy and Security. But if Vivaldi on AAOS is actually based on the Android version, all my troubleshooting is out the window basically.
I just know from earlier posts here on MacOS, Linux and Windows that almost the only cause of such messages from Google is the missing Services Token extension.

@Pathduck I can't easily do screengrabs in the car, but here's the whole Privacy & Security settings menu... if this helps at all.

@mib2berlin Understood and thanks for trying. LMK if there is anything I can help with in the car.
-
@gadgett Yeah, that looks like the Android build. Too deep water for me
-
@Pathduck Bummer... I'm guessing (as was mentioned at the top of this thread) that Polestar's recent upgrade to AAOS 11 broke something for Vivaldi as it worked fine back on AAOS 10.

@gadgett Think there was something about switching between "
Desktop Site
" mode from the Vivaldi menu button or the regular mobile view while signing in.Just a vague recollection, so it might not be relevant, but worth a try anyway if it works.
-
@nomadic thanks for suggestion. It made no difference in being able to sign in to my Google account.
-
@gadgett Oh well.
Think I found the post I was remembering. It was only talking about regular Android and not Android Auto.

So I set Vivaldi to mobile (non-desktop) mode and tried logging in. I entered my username and then the browser crashed. Repeatedly. No luck.
